Lots of racing and trackdays meant I unavoidably crashed a fair bit (the only way to find the edge, is to sometimes go over it) and I kept wearing out the sliders I was buying and could see design faults and shoddy manufacturing, so i started designing and machining up my own sliders.
I've tried lots of different materials for sliders: skateboard wheels, urethane, nylon, polyester, etc. I wasn't happy with any of them until I started using Acetal plastic. This WORKS, Acetal is ultra hard, wears well, slides nicely without gripping and machines beautifully.
